ROLE

Executive Company Producer

TIME

The Executive Company Producer would commence work with Elizabeth Arifien on the week commencing the 29th April and will work on a freelance basis inline with funding available at a given time. The initial agreement would be for 18 weeks at $40ph working approximately 4-8 hours each week initially. As we secure more projects your role has the ability to expand rapidly.  

FOCUS OF THE ROLE

Elizabeth is looking for an experienced Executive Company Producer with extensive production coordination skills in dance to join her upcoming projects and to secure future opportunities.

It is imperative that you have experience in the creative arts and are aware of current opportunitie within the film and dance sector. It is ideal you have strong production judgment and that you are able to manage and oversee projects and people effectively. Excellent communication skills are an important part of the role. 

The role will be a mixture of working remotely from home, via zoom and occasional meet ups in Wollongong or Sydney. 

ABOUT ELIZABETH ROSE ARIFIEN

Elizabeth is an award winning Film Director, Choreographer and Singer Songwriter. She’s a mentor, podcaster and delivers talks and workshops for others placing personal, and societal issues at the forefront of conversations. She has qualifications in Business, Musical Theatre and Dance.
Her creative endeavors come from a place or curiosity and kindness and past works and research have been created and distributed with the British Dyslexia Association, Royal Opera House, London College of Fashion, Rambert School, Linbury Trust, Lalaland Productions, City Lit, Ugly Duck studios, Royal Academy of Arts, East London Dance, the Groundworks, Haringey Council, Trinity Laban, Studio Wayne McGregor and V&A.

Awards and commissions have been granted by Linbury Trust, Rambert School, Greenwich University, Sports London, Mayor of London, Unltd, Arts Council England, National Lottery community fund, Haringey Magic Grants, Arts Council England project grand and DYCP, Bootstrap Enterprise, Groundworks, Royal Opera House, English National Ballet, Tripspace, Yorkshire Dance, TripSpace, British Dyslexia Association, Yorkshire Dance, V&A, Trinity Laban and East London Dance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Coordinate multiple projects and schedules

  • Plot future goals 

  • Working with a bid writer to pitch and apply for funding

  • Seeking new opportunities for Elizabeth’s projects and offering solutions to achieve them

  • Bringing ideas to life

  • Keeping the team to deadlines and over seeing productions

  • Writing and managing the correspondence and negotiations of agreements, budgets and invoices 

  • Coordinate the submission of applications for Elizabeth’s concepts

  • Distribution research and execution of projects

  • Overseeing finances and exploring opportunities to expand

  • Hiring new team members

KEY CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Clear communicator and exceptional organizational skills

  • Exceptional written and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated experience in securing funding / pitching

  • Exceptional budgeting and bookkeeping skills 

  • Strong network within major dance/music and creative industry sectors

  • Strategic planner

  • An eye for detail

  • Interested in hearing from people who have previously worked with independent artists in film, music and/or dance. 

  • Working within tight deadline constraints 

FEE 

18 weeks at $40ph working (approximately) 4-8 hours each week initially. This is a freelance role, therefore you are responsible for taxes, sick pay and holiday etc.
