Why I Created This
Over the years, I’ve heard from many parents and young people who felt misunderstood, unsupported or excluded within dance training environments.
Often, teachers care deeply and want to help, but haven’t been given the tools, language or support to confidently work with different nervous systems and communication styles.
This resource was created to offer practical, adaptable approaches that move beyond awareness and towards meaningful inclusion within creative spaces.
About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Arifien is a UK born, Sydney based choreographer, director and neurodivergent creative practitioner working across dance, film, sound and immersive arts.
Her work explores sensory experience, emotional expression and inclusive creative practice through performance, research and education.
Elizabeth has collaborated with organisations including Rambert School, One Dance UK, London College of Fashion, East London Dance and the Victoria & Albert Museum, with a practice centred around amplifying neurodivergent voices within the arts sector.
